This very limited edition numbered release whisky comes from a well established family run distillery built on Harewell House Farm in Nidderdale. Traditional copper pot stills are used with barley grown and malted in Yorkshire. Harewell spring water and yeast. Only 261 bottles made for the world!
Aroma - Hazelnut, figs, dates, oloroso, candied almonds, clove, molasses Palate - Bonfire heat, cinder toffee, black treacle, clove, cinnamon, bark. Conclusion - Full bodied, powerful full of the flavours of autumn and winter. The sweet elements balanced by salinity and notes of cedar and burning embers. Not peaty but still with a gentle charred feel. Much more accessible than first release to your average enthusiast and easily the most crowd pleasing release yet. No confection, just natural, chef like pastry precision. Joyful, complete and tasting beyond its years.
